Basic one-day course offering life saving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Duration: 1 day (6.5-8hrs) for full certification course
Prerequisites: No prior learning required. Must be able to physically perform skills
Certification Requirements: In order to receive a certification in this course, the student must demonstrate all of the following over the two days:
- Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps
- 100% attendance and participation
- 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation
- adherence to the Fundamental Principles
Certification upon successful completion: 3 year certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR

Re-certification Prerequisites: You must hold a Current Red Cross full certification (Emerg first aid with CPR). If certification has lapsed/expired then full course will be required.
